Earlier this year, Air Supply scored its first Billboard chart hit in 17 years with “Dance With Me,” the infectious first single from Mumbo Jumbo - their Odds On Records debut and first album of original material in eight years - which hit the Billboard Adult Contemporary Singles chart.
The hitmaking duo keeps the momentum going with the upcoming release of their dynamic follow-up track “Faith In Love” and Los Angeles media appearances in anticipation of their intimate acoustic KOST 103.5 FM sponsored show Spaghettini Grill & Lounge (3005 Old Ranch Pkwy., Seal Beach, CA 90740) on Saturday, July 31 at 8 p.m.
On Tuesday, July 6, Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock did an interview on the popular adult contemporary outlet with morning show hosts Mark Wallengren and Kristin Cruz. Air Supply is also scheduled to perform on KTLA-TV Channel 5’s Morning News program on Friday, July 30 during the 8 a.m. hour segment.
Table reservations are $10 per person and are highly recommended. Call Spaghettini directly at (562) 596-2199 or visit www.spaghettini.com. KOST is offering a chance to win dinner packages for two for the special evening; tune into 103.5 FM for details.
On the day of Mumbo Jumbo’s release, Russell and Hitchcock were featured in a prominent article in Billboard Magazine titled “Still Supplying The Hits After 35 Years.” The online version of the piece includes audio snippets from Billboard writer Gary Trust’s interview in which Russell and Hitchcock discuss touring, songwriting and Australia’s music scene.
Just weeks after Graham Russell was honored with a BMI Million-Air Certificate recognizing 3 million performances of the duo’s hit “All Out Of Love,” Air Supply’s new song was the #1 most added track on the FMQB AC40 Chart, and one of the most added on the R&R (Radio and Records) AC Chart as well as the Mediabase AC chart.
Many of the superstars Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock are sharing chart space with weren’t born when the duo was scoring its most enduring '80s hits “Lost In Love,” “Making Love Out of Nothing At All” and “The One That You Love.”
Air Supply is touring the world again this year after a whirlwind schedule these past few years that has included hundreds of concerts everywhere from The Philippines and Singapore to Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Israel, Brazil, China and even Vietnam.
